PLACES TO BUY THINGS

Basic words:

eladó shop assistant, seller
árus stallkeeper, vendor
vevő customer, purchaser
vásárló buyer
bolt, üzlet shop, store

You can just use bolt if you refer to a food store: Boltba megyek. The long version for food store is: élelmiszerbolt

fűszerüzlet grocery store
zöldséges greengrocer
piac market
pékség bakery
cukrászda pastry shop
édesség bolt candy store
hentes (üzlet) pork butcher
trafik, dohánybolt tobacco shop
gyógyszertár pharmacy
mosoda laundry
vegytisztító dry-cleaner
ruhabolt, ruha üzlet clothing store
drogéria drug-store
ószeres old-clothes man
újságárus newsagent

NOTE!

If you go to a place where you buy things, you use the suffixes -ba, -be > boltba, üzletbe, pékségbe, gyógyszertárba. Except: piac because a market is an open place, so you use -ra, -re > piacra.

If you go to a person who sells things, then you use -hoz, -hez, -höz > zöldségeshez, ószereshez, henteshez, újságárushoz
